Google Employees Reveal Their Favorite Perks Working For The Company

Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to my press review.

A few days ago I read a very interesting article "Google employees show their preferred perks working for the company" and today I want to tell you something about it.

I thought you might be interested because it would be a great job that would bring many benefits for you.

Basically it is says that the employees of the company Google have many advantages in their job. All staff members can have breakfast, lunch and dinner for free. There are also coffee and juice bars scattered throughout campuses. I think it's really cool that pets are allowed at work and you can take them with you. I think women should be much more employed in such jobs. For mothers there is also a great offer which can only be beneficial. During work, they can drop off their children in a free daycare center. After work, they can pick up their children again. Also, many other practical services are offered such as dinner parties, car wash, bicycle repair, oil change for employees. As a result, the employees are taken off work in their free time and can use the time for other things. In addition, they receive three months of unpaid exemption so they can use the recovery time to relax, take a cure or work with non-profit organizations.

I think working at Google is great because it provides a comfortable environment and perfect conditions for a great career.

Halloween

Good morning ladies and gentlemen and welcome to my press review.

A few days ago, I read a very interesting article on the online website “readworks.org” that talks about HALLOWEEN.

I thought you might be interested because for some people Halloween is something very special. When the time approaches Halloween, you hear a lot of it on the radio and in the news on TV. Also many people don‘t even know how Halloween orginated and where it really comes from. Maybe there are some important information for you that you want to know.

Basically it says that Halloween is the border between fall and winter, plenty and paucity, life and death, it's a time of celebration and superstition. It‘s thought to have originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off roaming ghosts. But in present, Halloween has a completely different meaning. It‘s much more something for the little ones. Going from house to house in costume and ask for trick-or-treating makes everyone much fun.

The author mentions the very special transformation and development of the former Halloween till today. In the past, people were afraid of this. Nowadays people are looking forward to Halloween.

It also said that earlier, when people left the house that day, spirits flew around. So also the humanity disguised itself to remain unrecognized. They put bowls of food in front of the door so they wouldn‘t enter their house.

I was very scared of where Halloween actually comes from and what happened earlier. That we celebrate it nowadays as if it were just for fun makes me very questionable.

Personally, I don’t like Halloween because the story of this day scares me a little bit. Also, I've never been disguised door to door and asked for trick or treating. My parents have always been against it and now I have no interest in it. I prefer to spend the evening together with my friends and watch a movie. That's the way I like to spend this day.

Austrian Culture

Hi guys!

Today we talked about the Austrian Culture, so I'm going to tell you something about that theme.

We agreed that it‘s very important to spend time together with the family. Whether a trip or rather watching TV on the couch, a weekend with the family can be funny and comfortable.

At the next point we discussed the home of an Austrian. We keep our home clean and comfortable because it‘s also the place where most of people can relax.

The appearance can say a lot about a human. That's why it's important to us to be well dressed in order to present ourselves well. But there is a strict protocol for dressing in a different situation: formal wear for the theater or a concert, and semiformal wear for better restaurants. So it's important to know, that in some high-level events may have a dress code and will turn away people who aren’t dressed properly.

At least we talked about the meeting etiquette. Typical for Austria is the formal greeting with the handshake. Also, titles are very important and denote respect. You should use a persons’s title and the surname until invited the first name, so nothing can go wrong.
